What To Expect

What to expect

A calm, structured experience built around your dog not a one-size-fits-all routine. Your dog is guided through a balanced day with purposeful engagement, time to rest, and thoughtful supervision. We pay close attention to comfort, behavior, and stress signals, adjusting care as needed so your dog feels safe and supported. The result is a dog who comes home more settled and confident—and an owner who feels informed, reassured, and at ease.

The ultimate k9 experience

Your dog’s first day sets the tone for everything that follows.

That’s why we guide each step with care so both you and your dog know exactly what to expect.

Step 1: Preparation Before You Arrive

Before your first day, you’ll receive clear instructions on what to bring, when to arrive, and where to go. If you have questions or concerns, we address them ahead of time so you arrive confident and prepared.

Why this matters:

A calm handoff starts with clarity.

Step 2: Calm Arrival & Handoff

When you arrive, your dog is welcomed in a calm, unrushed way. We take a moment to observe their energy, body language, and comfort level before guiding them into their assigned space.

Why this matters:

Transitions set the emotional tone for the day.

Leaving your dog should feel calm and confident—not rushed or stressful.

That’s why we use structured drop-off and pick-up windows. These times allow us to welcome dogs intentionally, help them settle comfortably, and maintain a peaceful, well-balanced environment throughout the day.

If you ever have questions about scheduling or need help planning around these times, we’re here to guide you.

We understand that life happens. Flights are early in the morning. Traffic runs late. Meetings go long. Plans shift. That’s why we approach schedule changes with clarity, flexibility when possible, and a continued focus on what’s best for your dog.

Early Drop-Offs

In very special circumstances, we may be able to accommodate an early drop-off of up to (1) hour prior to the standard drop-off window. Early drop-offs must be arranged at least 48 hours in advance and are subject to availability.

An early drop-off fee of $10 will apply.

Late Drop-Offs

Late arrivals without notice may not be accommodated, as unexpected disruptions can impact group balance and safety.

Early Pick-Ups

If you need to pick up your dog earlier than expected, just let us know. Advance notice allows us to prepare your dog for a smooth, calm transition home.

Late Pick-Ups

Late pick-ups are assessed as a fee of $1 for every 5 minutes past the pick-up window, up to a maximum of $30 in situations that require extended care or an overnight extension. Any applicable fees will always be communicated clearly and respectfully.

Step 3: Initial Observation & Settling In

Your dog is given time to acclimate to their environment. We observe how they respond to their surroundings, group dynamics, and engagement opportunities before encouraging interaction.

Why this matters:

Dogs adjust best when they aren’t rushed or forced.

Step 4: Guided Engagement

As your dog becomes comfortable, we introduce structured interaction, enrichment, and movement appropriate to their needs. Throughout the day, we monitor energy levels, stress signals, and engagement to support balance and regulation.

Why this matters:

Healthy engagement builds confidence and eliminates chaos.

Step 5: Rest, Regulation, and Support

Rest is built into the day. Dogs have access to designated rest areas and quiet spaces so they can pause, decompress, and recharge when needed.

Why this matters:

Calm dogs learn and adapt better.

Step 6: Ongoing Monitoring & Adjustment

Throughout the day, we continue to assess how your dog is doing and adjust their experience as needed, whether that means more activity, more rest, or additional structure.

Why this matters:

Care should adapt to the dog, not the other way around.

Step 7: Calm Pick-Up & Owner Insight

At pick-up, your dog is settled and ready to head home. We’re happy to share insight from the day so you understand how your dog did and what will support future visits.

Why this matters:

You leave informed, not guessing.

Cancellation & payment policy

We understand that plans can change, and we do our best to be fair while also protecting the time, space, and care reserved for your dog.

Boarding Reservations

Boarding stays of more than two nights require a $60 deposit, which will be applied to your dog’s total boarding stay.

If a boarding reservation is cancelled at least 48 hours before the scheduled start date, the deposit will be fully refunded or credited.

Cancellations not made within 48 hours of the scheduled start date will result in the deposit of $60 being forfeited.

Early Pick-Up

Once a stay has begun, early pick-up does not reduce the total cost of the reservation.

Reserved days reflect space, staffing, and care planned specifically for your dog.

Our goal is always to communicate clearly and treat every client with respect. If something unexpected comes up, please reach out, we’re always happy to talk through options when possible.

Daycare Cancellations

To avoid charges, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled service.

Cancellations made within 24 hours, same-day cancellations, or no-shows will result in a $30 fee (one full day) being charged, as that space cannot be rebooked on short notice.
